On Monday nights there is a men's only interactive chat on the Compassionate Friends Web site. Men's Chat is from 9 - 10 pm Time and often goes even longer if there are willing participants. There is usually a brief introduction of ourselves, our child's name, cause of death, date of death. Participants come from all over the country and sometimes internationally as well. If TCF meetings aren't your style, or if you need something to get you through to the next chapter meeting, then maybe Men's Chat could help you. I am often moved by the wonderful stories, memories and hope shared during this hour. The moderator of the chat room keeps everyone focused and the regular visitors to the room are great men.Whether your day is going good or you're in a real slump, take an hour Monday night to check out Men's Chat. Others are there to help you through. Maybe your insights and experiences will help another dad. Log on to www.thecompassionatefriends.org and scroll down to CHAT on the lower left side. Signing on is really easy and you could use an alias name if you wish to protect your identity. Look for me - my alias is JohnP.
